When I was younger, the idea of it certainly sound very appealing to me. I never felt like anybody understood me. Furthermore, I was kinda bullied in primary school because of my Japanese heritage and the atrocities committed back in WWII in Singapore . Being called a rapist and a murderer as a small kid was quite tough. This is just the tip of the iceberg of growing up as a halfu.
So yes, I was dreaming about somebody who can totally relate to my ups and downs of being a halfu in a foreign land.
I never had a hafu partner but I think the idea would be attractive. I am now married to an Irish man who is as Irish as they come and it is lovely showing him the Japanese culture.
I recommend it. Obviously, it depends on who you both are, and timing is everything, but there’s an implicit understanding that’s extremely comforting.
when i was in my twenties , now in my 30s , i thought another half Japanese Girl would be the ideal partner for me.
