No, I chose my belief system in my uni days. Both parents weren’t loyal followers of either religion although my father claimed Christianity and my mother Buddhism. We went to church a few times when my brother and I were very young but going didn’t last long.

No I did not have to choose. Our mother was Catholic so she brought us to mass and Sunday school. Our father’s family would be Buddhist but he was not bothered by religion.

  • No, being somewhat bohemian in their ways of thinking, I was not baptised, but rather, my parents thought I should choose my own faith when I was old enough. I was raised Shinto, Buddhist, Confucian & Taoist, and they all influence certain parts of my being, and can be applied to different situations. I don’t think you need to be exclusively one, or the other.
