I was born in Brazil too and I lived in japan, with my parents, from the age of 8 to 10.
That’s a question that I guess I left without an answer. From a point of view of a children, it was really hard to fit in, not because people were mean… But because the Japanese culture was completely different, the opposite of what i used to live in Brazil.
But… Now days I’ve got the chance to meet some pretty awesome Japanese people! I guess the best way to feel accepted is to try to find Japanese who have lived abroad, who have been in your shoes for once. They might don’t get the hafus concept, but to understand the foreign situation, is already a start 🙂
    Lots of love for you!!!

    Janayna.
