English just because it’s easier. Don’t know enough kanji so the my go-to Jpnse songs at karaoke are the few that I have memorized for the most part. Good question! 🙂

Oh I have to say English songs. Although the Japanese songs I learned in shogakko for choir were great too.

I can sing English songs better (I’m a singer) though I lived most of my life in Japan.
It depends on what kind of song you listen to.

English but I can sing a few songs in Nihongo. Wanna hear it? Here it goes…. 😀

  • I wish I knew more Japanese songs. Since I don’t know the language very well, it’s hard for me to remember the words. I only know a few children’s folk songs my mother taught me when I was young. But I sang them to her when she was very old and sick and she loved that. I also sang them to my Japanese auntie when I finally went to Japan and met her and she was very old and sick. I was so glad I learned those songs.

I used to sing Japanese songs with my mom when I was a kid. I wish I remembered more of them!
